Music:
A way of Life In the early dawn of time, Nature selected its creatures and boosted the evolution of man. Two species appeared, Neanderthals and Homosapiens. When HomoSapiensSapiens started to express themselves in paintings on the wall of caves, they too formulated music for their dead in rituals. Neanderthals, however, Archaeologists are saying that they too who were not practical as their brothers, performed musical rituals. They have discovered a bone, which they think it could be a part of a flute. Without doubt, music was one of the first expressions, so as to say, languages of our early ancestors. The Flute and the drums were two essentials musical instruments used by the oldest musicians in their lives. Maybe the oldest musical scale, which goes back to at least 1400 BC, was the one found in the Canaano-Phoenician City of Ugarit. The Saydonian Priest of Ancient Lebanon have evolved the Sacred Music, and sailors used to navigate ships following a music played by a flutist, others by the beat of drums. Music is that very power that links man with the cosmos of
gods.
Music is also a form of healing; it will communicate within vibrations and set the disordered system of our bodies into order. Why Music? How does it effect us? “Music enters the heart and awakens in it our deepest and noblest emotions, making our mind subtle, and calming our anxious and furious desires. It finally release the spirit free into a world of a higher nature.” The Philosopher explained. Music is Universal. It exists everywhere and in everything. It is the rhythm of both the spirit and matter. We can say, that Music and Life are two inseparable manifestations of the Universe and Human evolution. Karim El-Koussa |
